Aminu Dabo, former Caucus Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, has resigned from the party. Dabo, who served as the ruling party's local leader in Dambatta Local Government Area, announced his departure from the APC. The resignation comes amid ongoing internal party dynamics and preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The APC has released a list of 12 states where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will hold rallies in 2027. The states include Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, Kwara, Niger, Kogi, Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Taraba, and Yobe. The campaign strategy emphasizes Tinubu's administration's achievements, with the party aiming to mobilize support across these regions.

Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, stated that the party will campaign on the performance and achievements of Tinubu's government. He emphasized the need to engage voters and build a strong foundation for the 2027 elections.

Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the APC, has instructed the party's Presidential Campaign Council to communicate Tinubu's achievements effectively. The council is tasked with uniting national and grassroots structures to ensure a cohesive campaign strategy.

The Ijaw Youth Council has warned that any attempt to divert the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway from its original coastal route could alienate voters in the South-South. The council sees the highway's route as crucial for maintaining support in the region.

Political tensions continue within the APC, with internal disputes over campaign strategies and candidate selection. The party faces challenges in balancing national and local interests while maintaining a unified message for the upcoming elections.
