The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has claimed control over more than 10 states in both the North and South of Nigeria. Director-General Deji Elumoye stated that neither Atiku nor Obi can claim any single state in the South or North respectively. This assertion comes amid heightened political tensions ahead of the 2027 elections.
The APC campaign council emphasized its strategic dominance, highlighting its ability to mobilize resources and influence voter sentiment across key regions. The claim was made during a press briefing in Abuja, where Elumoye outlined the council’s plans for the upcoming electoral cycle. The council also reiterated its stance against rival candidates, accusing them of failing to meet campaign commitments.
This development follows recent criticisms from the APC towards Peter Obi, who previously claimed victory in the 2023 presidential election. The APC has challenged Obi to honor his pledge to withdraw from the 2027 race if liabilities are found against his administration. The council’s focus on regional control underscores its efforts to consolidate support ahead of the next election.
The APC’s campaign strategy reflects broader political dynamics in Nigeria, where regional alliances and voter bases play a critical role in electoral outcomes. As the 2027 elections approach, the competition among political parties is intensifying, with each seeking to secure a strategic advantage.
