A two-storey building under construction collapsed in the Fadeyi area of Lagos State, killing one person and rescuing three others. The incident occurred on Friday morning in the Fadeyi area, specifically on Akinola Street, off Ikorodu Road. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed the death and rescue operation.

The collapse happened during early hours, according to local reports. Emergency responders arrived at the scene quickly and managed to extract the three survivors. The deceased was identified as a construction worker, though details about the others remain pending. LASEMA stated that the cause of the collapse is under investigation.

This is the second such incident in the area this month. Last week, a similar collapse in the same neighborhood resulted in two injuries. Authorities have called for stricter safety measures on construction sites. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about building safety in Lagos, where rapid urban development often outpaces regulatory oversight.
