APC leaders have publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, citing recent infrastructure developments as key to Nigeria’s future. National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda highlighted the ongoing reconstruction of the Akwanga-Jos section of the Trans-Sahara Superhighway, emphasizing its potential to boost northern economic activity and enhance regional security. The project, part of a broader national initiative, aims to improve connectivity and reduce smuggling along the border.
Bulus Iliya, a senior APC member from Bauchi State, has also expressed support for Tinubu’s re-election, stating that his administration’s achievements, including the highway project, have laid a strong foundation for national progress. Abdullahi Yari, Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, noted that Tinubu’s policies have already demonstrated tangible results, which could influence public opinion ahead of the next election.
The Trans-Sahara Superhighway, a critical infrastructure project, has been a focal point of Tinubu’s campaign. It is designed to link key economic zones across the country, facilitating trade and reducing travel times. The Akwanga-Jos segment, currently under reconstruction, is expected to significantly impact local economies by improving access to markets and services.
Tinubu’s re-election campaign has focused on economic recovery and security improvements, with the highway project serving as a symbol of his administration’s commitment to national development. As the political landscape shifts, APC leaders are positioning Tinubu as a candidate who has delivered on key promises, reinforcing his chances in the upcoming election.
