Bulus Iliya, a key member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid for the 2027 general election. The statement comes as the party continues to consolidate its political strategy ahead of the upcoming polls. Bulus, who is also a former governor of Bauchi State, emphasized the importance of unity within the party to ensure a strong campaign. His remarks were made during a political gathering in Lagos, where several APC leaders discussed the party’s electoral prospects.
APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has also expressed confidence in the party’s ability to secure a landslide victory in the 2027 elections. Speaking in Dungun, Plateau State, Yilwatda stated that the APC is working on a strategic plan to maximize its electoral gains. The party’s focus is on strengthening grassroots support and ensuring a cohesive campaign message. His comments were made shortly after he cast his vote in the APC presidential primary.
In addition, the APC Women Mega Rally and Empowerment Programme in the South-East region saw calls for continued support for Tinubu. South-East governors urged voters to ignore any form of deceit and to cast their ballots for Tinubu. The rally, organized by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, highlighted the party’s commitment to transparency and accountability in the electoral process.
The political landscape in Nigeria remains highly competitive, with several parties vying for dominance. The APC’s internal dynamics, including the ongoing battle for senatorial tickets in states like Imo, continue to shape its electoral strategy. Despite these challenges, the party is positioning itself as a strong contender for the 2027 elections.
