The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has praised the transformational leadership of Zamfara State under Governor Dauda Lawal. Chairman Olanipekun Olukoyede noted the state’s progress as evidence of effective governance.

Olukoyede made the remarks during a lecture at Zamfara’s 30th anniversary celebration in Gusau. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the EFCC and state authorities to enhance financial accountability. The EFCC chairman also announced the establishment of a new Directorate to monitor state government funds.

The EFCC has previously commended Nigeria’s efforts in combating sextortion and child exploitation. President Bola Tinubu has praised the commission for its role in arresting and extraditing suspects involved in such crimes.

Zamfara’s leadership has been recognized for its efforts in improving public procurement processes. The state government has worked closely with the EFCC to address corruption and promote transparency.

This collaboration reflects a broader strategy to strengthen governance and reduce financial crimes across Nigeria. The EFCC continues to support state governments in implementing anti-corruption measures.
