Nigeria and TotalEnergies have finalized the investment decision for the Ima Gas Project, valued at $1.108 billion. The project will enhance daily gas production by approximately 350 million standard cubic feet and support the expansion of the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Train 7.
The agreement marks a significant step in Nigeria’s energy strategy, aiming to increase domestic gas supply and reduce reliance on imports. The Ima Gas Project is expected to contribute to the country’s energy security and support industrial growth.
The partnership between AMNI and TotalEnergies highlights ongoing efforts to develop Nigeria’s hydrocarbon resources. The project is anticipated to create jobs and stimulate economic activity in the region.
The development comes as Nigeria seeks to strengthen its position in the global energy market and meet rising domestic demand. The Ima Gas Project is one of several initiatives aimed at modernizing the country’s energy infrastructure.
