A Lagos Federal High Court judge has rejected bail applications for businessman Afolabi Michael Kazeem, known as KC Luxury, and two others. The court, presided over by Justice Musa Kakaki, denied bail for the three individuals accused of smuggling 184.5 kilograms of cocaine.
The case involves a large quantity of cocaine seized during a customs operation. The accused are alleged to have attempted to smuggle the drugs into the country. The court heard arguments from both the prosecution and defense before making its decision. No bail was granted, and the case will proceed to trial.
This is not the first time KC Luxury has faced legal issues. He has previously been involved in drug-related charges. The current case highlights ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in Nigeria. Authorities have been increasing enforcement against smuggling operations, particularly those involving large quantities of narcotics. The case is expected to draw attention to the scale of drug trafficking in the region and the legal measures being taken to address it.
