Governor Seyi Makinde, presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), announced in Abuja that his party is prepared to win at least two-thirds of the 103 million registered voters. The declaration came during the inauguration of the National Campaign Management Committee (NCMC) for the Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organization (MDPCO).
Vice-presidential candidate Alhaji Lawal Daura reiterated the party’s goal during the event. He stated that the APM is targeting not less than two-thirds of the registered voters ahead of the 2027 general elections. Daura emphasized the strategic importance of the campaign committee in mobilizing support across the country.
This marks the first major step in the APM’s electoral strategy for the 2027 elections. The inauguration of the NCMC was attended by key party officials and members. The committee is expected to coordinate campaign efforts, organize rallies, and engage with voters in key constituencies.
The APM has been gaining momentum in recent months, with increasing visibility in political discourse. The party’s focus on voter mobilization and campaign infrastructure reflects its ambition to secure a strong position in the upcoming elections. The 2027 elections will be a significant test for political parties in Nigeria, with multiple candidates vying for power.
